Judges' Lists... Criteria...



 

A1 List of Approved Judges

Criteria for judges:

  1. Approved by the Kennel Club to award CCs in the Breed.

  2. Has the support of the Pyrenean Mountain Dog Club of Great Britain.

A2 List of Approved Judges

Criteria for judges:

  1. Fulfils all requirements of the A3 List.

  2. Has been assessed in accordance with Kennel Club requirements.

  3. Accepted by the Kennel Club for inclusion on an A2 List.

  4. Has the support of the Pyrenean Mountain Dog Club of Great Britain.

A3 List of Approved Judges (Breed Specialists)

Minimum Criteria for judges:

  1. To have a minimum of seven years judging experience in the breed.

  2. To have judged at least one Breed Club Show.

  3. To have judged the breed at six Open Shows, with an adequate geographical spread.

  4. To have judged a minimum of thirty classes.

  5. To have judged a minimum of one hundred and forty dogs.

  6. To have attended a seminar, given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer, on Confirmation and Movement

  7. To have attended a seminar, given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer, and passed the relevant examination on Kennel Club Regulations and Judging Procedures.

  8. To have attended at least one breed specific seminar run in accordance with the relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice and passed an examination and/or assessment, where applicable.

  9. To have bred and/or owned a minimum of three dogs when they obtained their first entry in The Kennel Club Stud Book (save in exceptional circumstances).

  10. To have attended and passed at least two judging seminars.

  11. To have stewarded for a minimum period of three years and at twelve shows.

  12. To have the support of the Pyrenean Mountain Dog Club of Great Britain.

A3 List of Approved Judges (Non-Specialists)

Minimum Criteria for judges:

  1. To have a minimum of seven years judging experience in any one breed (to include five years in this breed)..

  2. To have judged at least one Breed Club Show and/or two Breed Club Supported Entry Shows.

  3. To have judged the breed at five Open Shows or Championship Shows without CCs, with an adequate geographical spread.

  4. To have judged a minimum of twenty five classes.

  5. To have judged a minimum of one hundred dogs.

  6. To have awarded CCs in at least one other breed in the Working or Pastoral Groups.

  7. To have attended at least one breed judging seminar.

  8. To have attended a seminar, given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer, on Confirmation and Movement.

  9. To have attended and passed a Hands-on-Assessment delivered by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer. Requirement from 01/07/2005

  10. To have attended a seminar, given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer, and passed the relevant examination on Kennel Club Regulations and Judging Procedures.

  11. To have attended at least one breed specific seminar run in accordance with the relevant kennel Club Code of Best Practice and passed an examination and/or assessment, where applicable.

  12. To have stewarded for a minimum period of three years and at twelve shows.

  13. To have bred and/or owned a minimum of three dogs, of any breed, when they obtained their first entry in The Kennel Club Stud Book (save in exceptional circumstances).

  14. To have the support of the Pyrenean Mountain Dog Club of Great Britain.

B List of Approved Judges (Breed Specialists)

Minimum Criteria for judges:

  1. To have a minimum of three years experience owning and exhibiting the breed.

  2. To have judged ten classes in this breed at Open Shows.

  3. To have judged thirty dogs of this breed.

  4. To have attended a Kennel Club 'Requirements Of A Show Judge' seminar.

  5. To have stewarded at a minimum of three shows.

B List of Approved Judges (Non-Specialists)

Minimum Criteria for judges:

  1. To have a minimum of three years judging experience in any one breed.

  2. To have judged ten classes in this breed at Open Shows.

  3. To have judged thirty dogs of this breed.

  4. To have attended a Kennel Club 'Requirements Of A Show Judge' seminar.

C List of Approved Judges

Minimum Criteria for judges:

  1. To have shown an interest in the breed.

  2. To have the support of the Pyrenean Mountain Dog Club of Great Britain.

The C List would normally include persons who have judged the breed at Limited or Open Shows but who do not yet qualify for the B List.

Roll Of Honour

Minimum Criteria for judges:

  1. To have previously been included in the A List of Approved Judges.

  2. To have elected not to accept further appointments.
